CAIRO – 21 October 2017: Tottenham`s English striker Harry Kane is not far from winning the Ballon D`or (Golden Ball) and has assured that winning the prestigious award someday would be "a dream".

Kane, the only British candidate for the award, said that being nominated alongside other great footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar is "wonderful", in an interview with the BBC's Football Focus program.

"It's great to be on the roster. Being named with all those big names is fantastic," said Tottenham`s striker. "I think I still have a lot of work to do up there and fight for the trophy, but I do not think it's that far," he said.

"If you look at the year I've had, you can see that it has been fantastic. Now, what I have to do is improve every year; I will not hide that winning the Ballon D`or one day would be a dream,” said Kane.

The 24-year-old England international has scored 43 goals in 37 matches in 2017 between his club and the national team.
